Safety Policies and Procedures
Mandatory occupational health and safety policies and procedures are extremely important however, they are often overlooked, put on the back burner, or pushed aside. This is due to real obstacles such as not knowing where to start, business time constraints, and/or lack of available in-house resources.
The STC team develops industry-specific PPPs that address Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP).

Occupational Health and Safety Act Section 25(2)
(j) prepare and review at least annually a written occupational health and safety policy and develop and maintain a program to implement that policy;
(k) post at a conspicuous location in the workplace a copy of the occupational health and safety policy;
Our unique approach to meet this compliance requirement has been to build an annual due diligence training program that also addresses mandatory company specific policies and procedures. The due diligence component in our process addresses the internal responsibility system (IRS) and accountability for safe work practices.
Our Process Includes:
- A full “gap analysis” to determine what may be required for governing regulation in your current company’s health and safety program
- A dicussion to determine the priorities and best approach for the our team to support you and your company to close the identified gaps. This also includes discussion of the costs and timeframes
- Once verbally approved a written estimate is then prepared that includes clear deliverables that the STC professional team will complete. Your estimate will also outline the information we require, as well as any tasks your team will be required to provide and complete as we collaborate and work together
